Red grapes, banana, and almond butter make a sweet, nutty combination with spinach and almond milk. Grapes offer a different fruit flavor from the more common berry versions. Almond butter adds body, making careful measurement useful before adjusting the liquid base.

Ingredients
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup red seedless grapes
- 1 banana, peeled
- 2 tablespoon almond butter
Directions
- Put the measured liquid in the blender with the prepared leafy greens. Secure the lid and process until the leaves are finely dispersed, stopping the machine before scraping down the sides if needed.
- Add the remaining edible ingredients, including the measured fruit, nuts, seeds, or spices listed for this recipe. Blend until evenly combined. Use the machine instructions to choose a suitable speed, and stop before checking texture or scraping the jug.
- Taste a small spoonful after blending. If the mixture is too thick to pour, add cold water one tablespoon at a time and blend briefly again. Divide the base batch into 1 serving and enjoy promptly.
Notes
Contains tree nuts. Prepared ingredients are required; additional cooking, cooling, freezing, brewing, or soaking time is excluded from the active prep estimate. Serving volume and nutrition totals are not measured.

Tips and ingredient notes
Use seedless grapes and stir separated almond butter before measuring. Process milk and spinach first. Note the grape variety when you find a balance you like, since its sweetness influences the finished drink.
Stir separated almond butter before measuring so the spoon contains both oil and nut solids. Smooth butter gives a different finish from crunchy butter. Add it to the liquid portion where possible rather than leaving a thick clump stuck above frozen fruit.
Choose seedless grapes, wash them well, and remove stems before measuring. If freezing ahead, spread them separately so they do not form one solid block. Grape varieties differ in sweetness, so keep the remaining ingredients constant while comparing different batches.
Ingredient health benefits
- Almond butter provides vitamin E, which helps protect cells from oxidative damage.
- Grapes add dietary fiber, which supports normal bowel function.
