Avocado Mango Banana Spinach Smoothie

Avocado, mango, and banana give spinach a creamy body even though the liquid base is water. Mango adds the brighter fruit note, with the other two supporting texture. It is a practical green smoothie for someone who prefers not to use plant milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.25 avocado, peeled and stone removed
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 0.5 cup frozen mango chunks

Directions

  1. Put the measured liquid in the blender with the prepared leafy greens. Secure the lid and process until the leaves are finely dispersed, stopping the machine before scraping down the sides if needed.
  2. Add the remaining edible ingredients, including the measured fruit, nuts, seeds, or spices listed for this recipe. Blend until evenly combined. Use the machine instructions to choose a suitable speed, and stop before checking texture or scraping the jug.
  3. Taste a small spoonful after blending. If the mixture is too thick to pour, add cold water one tablespoon at a time and blend briefly again. Divide the base batch into 1 serving and enjoy promptly.

Notes

Prepared ingredients are required; additional cooking, cooling, freezing, brewing, or soaking time is excluded from the active prep estimate. Serving volume and nutrition totals are not measured.

Tips and ingredient notes

Use ripe avocado and remove its stone. Add frozen mango after blending spinach and water. This version omits its source's whey supplement and should not be treated as nutritionally identical to that recipe.

Measure mango after removing skin and the flat central stone. Frozen pieces give a more repeatable portion than estimating a whole fruit. Break apart any pieces stuck together before blending, especially when other ingredients are frozen too.

Choose avocado that mashes easily and measure only sound edible flesh. Firm pieces can remain lumpy after softer fruit has blended. When changing avocado quantity, adjust gradually because extra avocado changes the body more noticeably than the same volume of juicy fruit.

Ingredient health benefits

  • Mango contributes carotenoids that the body can convert into vitamin A.
  • Spinach contributes folate, needed for normal cell division.
