Chocolate Peanut Banana Oat Smoothie

Powdered peanut butter and cacao give banana a chocolate-peanut flavor, with oat milk keeping everything easy to blend. Cauliflower adds body and vanilla softens the finish. Powdered peanut butter is intentional and behaves differently from an equal spoonful of regular peanut butter.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 banana, peeleds
  • 0.5 cup riced cauliflower, cooked and cooled, then frozen
  • 2 tablespoon powdered peanut butter unsweetened
  • 2 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1 cup unsweetened oat milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean powder

Directions

  1. Pour the measured liquid into the blender. Add the softer prepared ingredients first, keeping the frozen pieces separated so they can move toward the blades instead of forming a solid block above them.
  2. Add the remaining edible ingredients, including the measured fruit, nuts, seeds, or spices listed for this recipe. Blend until evenly combined. Use the machine instructions to choose a suitable speed, and stop before checking texture or scraping the jug.
  3. Taste a small spoonful after blending. If the mixture is too thick to pour, add cold water one tablespoon at a time and blend briefly again. Divide the base batch into 1 serving and enjoy promptly.

Notes

Contains peanuts. Prepared ingredients are required; additional cooking, cooling, freezing, brewing, or soaking time is excluded from the active prep estimate. Serving volume and nutrition totals are not measured.

Tips and ingredient notes

Choose unsweetened peanut powder. Cook and cool cauliflower if its package requires it. Replacing the powder with regular peanut butter creates a separate variation with different fat content and a different consistency.

A banana with a few brown speckles gives a different sweetness from a firm, barely ripe one. Slice it before freezing, keeping pieces separate. This makes measuring easier and avoids a large frozen mass that the blender cannot move.

If packaged cauliflower requires cooking, follow those instructions before cooling it fully. Freeze the prepared portion for a colder result, or blend it chilled. Cooking, cooling, and freezing happen ahead of the stated active blending time rather than inside that short estimate.

Ingredient health benefits

  • Peanut provides vitamin E, which helps protect cells from oxidative damage.
  • Banana contributes potassium, needed for normal muscle and nerve function.
