Almond milk replaces the orange-juice base in our original strawberry-banana smoothie. This version has a milder finish and more banana presence. It offers the familiar fruit pairing with a different liquid base rather than repeating the same recipe under a new title.

Measured ingredient amounts adjust with servings. “To taste” amounts and directions stay as written.
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1.5 banana, peeled
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Directions
- Pour the measured liquid into the blender. Add the softer prepared ingredients first, keeping the frozen pieces separated so they can move toward the blades instead of forming a solid block above them.
- Add the remaining edible ingredients, including the measured fruit, nuts, seeds, or spices listed for this recipe. Blend until evenly combined. Use the machine instructions to choose a suitable speed, and stop before checking texture or scraping the jug.
- Taste a small spoonful after blending. If the mixture is too thick to pour, add cold water one tablespoon at a time and blend briefly again. Divide the base batch into 1 serving and enjoy promptly.
Notes
Contains tree nuts. Prepared ingredients are required; additional cooking, cooling, freezing, brewing, or soaking time is excluded from the active prep estimate. Serving volume and nutrition totals are not measured.

Tips and ingredient notes
Use unsweetened almond milk and measure the larger banana portion before changing the balance. Frozen strawberries chill the mixture. Fresh berries work too, but make a looser drink with the same liquid quantity.
Wash fresh strawberries before removing their tops, then measure the usable fruit. Plain frozen strawberries are convenient when fresh fruit is inconsistent. Avoid sweetened dessert berries, which change the balance and make it harder to compare one batch with another.
A banana with a few brown speckles gives a different sweetness from a firm, barely ripe one. Slice it before freezing, keeping pieces separate. This makes measuring easier and avoids a large frozen mass that the blender cannot move.
Use the specified plain plant beverage as your starting point. Brands vary in sweetness, thickness, protein, and fortification, so one product is not automatically equivalent to another. Shake the container before measuring and record a change of base as a recipe variation.
