Lemon Peach Cashew Ginger Smoothie

Lemon and peach contrast sharp citrus with mellow fruit in a cashew-based smoothie. Ginger and turmeric add spice accents, and honey supplies sweetness. Cauliflower adds body without banana, giving a different texture from many standard creamy fruit blends.

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon peeled
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 0.25 cup raw cashews
  • 1–2 tablespoon raw honey (adjust to taste)
  • 0.5 cup cauliflower, cooked and cooled, then frozen
  • 1 cup frozen peach slices
  • 0.5 inch ginger root fresh
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric, ground

Directions

  1. Pour the measured liquid into the blender. Add the softer prepared ingredients first, keeping the frozen pieces separated so they can move toward the blades instead of forming a solid block above them.
  2. Add the remaining edible ingredients, including the measured fruit, nuts, seeds, or spices listed for this recipe. Blend until evenly combined. Use the machine instructions to choose a suitable speed, and stop before checking texture or scraping the jug.
  3. Taste a small spoonful after blending. If the mixture is too thick to pour, add cold water one tablespoon at a time and blend briefly again. Divide the base batch into 1 serving and enjoy promptly.

Notes

Contains tree nuts. Prepared ingredients are required; additional cooking, cooling, freezing, brewing, or soaking time is excluded from the active prep estimate. Serving volume and nutrition totals are not measured.

Tips and ingredient notes

Peel and seed lemon. Prepare cauliflower according to its package and cool first. Begin with the smaller honey quantity because peach ripeness changes the balance. Blend cashews thoroughly before judging final smoothness.

Check fresh peaches for stones before measuring the flesh. Frozen slices offer convenience, but should be separated before blending. Skin may remain visible in the finished drink; that is different from finding hard pieces of fruit that still need processing.

Peel ginger if its skin is tough and chop it across its fibers into small pieces. Older roots can taste stronger and feel more fibrous. Measure the portion instead of estimating from a large piece, particularly when making a single serving.

Ingredient health benefits

  • Peach adds dietary fiber, which supports normal bowel function.
  • Cashews contribute magnesium, used in normal muscle and nerve function.
