Papaya and banana create a soft fruit base for carrot and light coconut milk. Turmeric adds an earthy accent and a deeper golden color. Carrot gives the creamy mixture another flavor and texture without requiring yogurt or nut butter.

Measured ingredient amounts adjust with servings. “To taste” amounts and directions stay as written.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cup papaya, peeled and seeded
- 1 banana, peeled
- 0.5 cup carrots, prepared according to package instructions, cooled, then frozen
- 0.5 cup light canned coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
Directions
- Pour the measured liquid into the blender. Add the softer prepared ingredients first, keeping the frozen pieces separated so they can move toward the blades instead of forming a solid block above them.
- Add the remaining edible ingredients, including the measured fruit, nuts, seeds, or spices listed for this recipe. Blend until evenly combined. Use the machine instructions to choose a suitable speed, and stop before checking texture or scraping the jug.
- Taste a small spoonful after blending. If the mixture is too thick to pour, add cold water one tablespoon at a time and blend briefly again. Divide the base batch into 1 serving and enjoy promptly.
Notes
Prepared ingredients are required; additional cooking, cooling, freezing, brewing, or soaking time is excluded from the active prep estimate. Serving volume and nutrition totals are not measured.

Tips and ingredient notes
Remove papaya peel and seeds. Prepare packaged frozen carrots according to their instructions and cool first. Keep turmeric measured because its earthy flavor becomes noticeable quickly in a small fruit smoothie.
Fresh carrot is easier to blend when grated or finely chopped. Packaged frozen carrot may require cooking before use; follow its instructions and cool it completely. Large hard pieces can remain noticeable even when the softer fruits around them have become smooth.
Remove papaya peel and seeds, then measure the flesh. Choose ripe fruit with a flavor you enjoy on its own. Different ripeness gives a different body and aroma, so note the fruit condition before adjusting spices or adding other ingredients.
Ingredient health benefits
- Carrot contributes carotenoids that the body can convert into vitamin A.
